What We're Working On! Collaboration Sneak Peak!!

I am so excited to finally unveil the secret project that TheBroken Plate and I have been working on for the past few months. I have always loved Juliet's eye for pattern, and knack for finding the perfect vintage plates, and when the idea to marry her recycled china with my design came up, we both hustled to make it happen.

Three of these necklaces will be available at our shared booth (#113) at Crafty Bastards this weekend. If we don't sell out, they will be available in both of our Etsy shops.

Since we are both passionate about our Boxers, we will be donating $20 from each sale of these pieces to Adot a Boxer Rescue, an all-volunteer charitable organization formed to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned boxer dogs within the northeast United States.

I love this shirt by Super Maggie, it's obvious why... but I also love that it benefits animal welfare! Check out Crafters For Critters, where all the proceeds from the donated items go to different rescues, shelters and animal related causes. You can search by your favorite designer or item. Perfect for the holidays and keeping up with the "handmade pledge." Keep an eye out for Dandelion Blu items, I plan on donating soon! Almost Famous!

Well, at least Coco is!!! Pick up a copy of "Hopeful Tails, Stories of Rescued Pets and Their Forever Families," by Shelley O'Hara. Coco is featured on page 4! That's Coco above with her book! If you would like a copy, Borders and Walden Books carry it since the book was a project with Borders and the ASPCA. The best part is that a donation is made to the ASPCA from every book sold! So check it out, the stories are both heart warming and humourous. Hopefully, these stories will encourage you to open your home to a shelter animal, or if you already have, remind you of how special they are. These are the stories of the "lucky ones," animals that were given a second chance. Also, October is "Adopt A Shelter Dog Month!" And for those of you who want a "signed" copy, I think I can arrrange that! The photography isn't too shabby, if I do say so myself!
