Just a few pics of my set up and the entire booth from Handmade Mart. this chickadee and I had a pretty good day! In fact it was a breeze, or maybe more like a torrential wind at times, but even that couldn't stop the eager shoppers from snapping up all the handmade delights!
Reunited and it feels so good! this chickadee and I will be teaming up once again for a craft extravanganza!

Debuting on the East Coast for the first time! These earrings are lovingly crafted by this chickadee and Dandelion Blu. Despite Mr. Chickadee and Mr. Dandelion's belief that when we get together it's all play and no work! Here's the info printed on the back of our cute new earring cards-
"While searching for a way to combine materials and our design sensibility, plus a way to express our green interests, this line of textile jewelry was born. From the precious metals to the classic cottons, all materials used are recycled and repurposed."
The ear wires are shaped like my Beaux Style earrings and pass through the ear to clasp at the bottom like a vertical hoop. The fabrics are remnants from the chickadee's designs selected for their color combos, texture and pattern. Check them out at Crafty this Sunday!

Yay!!! By far the best show I have done, so I am totally excited to be accepted as a vendor for Crafty Bastards D.C. style on Sept. 28th! this chickadee and I will be together in craft again, showcasing our wares under the big top. We can't wait to see you there!
2 more exciting events for Dandelion Blu are on the horizon! 1st up, I will be returning to the lovely Ballston Arts Market in Arlington VA this Saturday the 12th. The market is open 10am-4pm and showcases some of the areas finest handmade goods. Situated conveniently close to the Ballston Metro station in Wellburn Square. Come for live music, outstanding art, and a visit with this chickadee and I!
Next up is the very exciting BEST trunk show hosted by doubledutch boutique in Hampden, Baltimore hon!!!! Sunday July 13th, 11am-5pm. This is our debut show together, so come out and support your local crafters. I will post a vendor list and links later in the week, but look forward to handmade jewelry, accessories, stationary, soaps and more. AND we are giving away a $50 gift certificate to doubledutch, so stop by for your chance to enter! It's going to be a packed weekend for this dandelion! Hope to see you there!

Yesterday the chickadee flew North to our fair charming city to have meeting of the minds about booth set up and "styling" for tomorrows Crafty Bastards extravaganza. After much struggling with that tent (we both are gifted with being closer to the ground then most), lot's of sweating and swearing, we are pretty happy with our set up ideas. Don't you worry, these pictures lie- come tomorrow our tent will be brimming with wonderous handmade goodies. Won't you come for a visit?? If you don't already know, the chickadee and I will be showing together this Saturday, June 28th, at Crafty Bastards in Silver Spring! Due to the mega success of the fall Crafty Bastards shows, the crafty crew decided to hold an additional show in the summer. It's at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Silver Spring, and sponsored by Whole Foods, Downtown Silver Spring, and several area restaurants including the Piratz Tavern- arggggh!
There will be bands, food, and of course great handmade items. Come visit us! And if you mention this blog I just may give you a discount!!!

This is a secret that has long been under wraps. But here it is- Dandelion Blu and this chickadee will be flying West for Bumbershoot 2008!!!!! Bumbershoot is Seattle's music and art's festival, a 3 day event that basically takes over the city. And as luck would have it, this chickadee and I were accepted into their Indie Market. Honestly, we applied on whim, I have never been to Seattle, let alone the West Coast. But, Ms. Chickadee is quite the traveler and wanted an excuse to head West. She has attended the festival before and said that the Indie Market is the best craft and artist market she has ever been too. We were beside ourselves and in a little bit of disbelief when we got the notice- I kept checking the email to make sure it wasn't meant for somebody else. Then it slowly dawned on us- now that we were in, how do we get there, what do we do, yikes???? After much discussion weighing the pros and cons, we decided to throw caution to the wind, send the booth fee back and book our flights. So come Labor Day Weekend, East Coast meets West Coast in a craftacular of epic proportions! Beck, you better watch out, the dandelion and chickadee are coming for ya!! No turning back now!
